This Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta is made with ramen noodles! It’s a quick and easy dinner that everyone will love!

Why You'll Love this Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

First off, you'll love the depth of flavor that the brown butter adds! Have you ever browned butter? If you haven't, this is a great dish to try it in. Add some butter to a pan over medium heat and let the butter come to a bubble. Once the butter stops bubbling, remove from the heat and enjoy the savory, nutty brown butter!

Second - Ramen noodles! Need I saw more? I buy my Ramen noodles without the flavor packets but if you have some in the pantry (come on, I know you do!) just discard the flavor packet and you're good to go. The best part is how quickly the noodles cook, keeping this dish's cooking time under 15 mintues.

Like I mentioned, it takes less than 15 minutes to make! This Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta is a quick and easy dinner that everyone will love and there is no shortage on flavor! The brown butter adds a depth of flavor, and the shrimp and ramen cook up quick! Add some veggies into the mix to make a complete, nutritious meal. I personally love adding some leafy greens!

What you'll need to make Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

    • Butter - Quality is key! I love using New Zealand butter! You could also swap butter for olive oil, but you'll miss out on the browned butter flavor.
    • Garlic - I wrote the recipe to have 4 cloves, but measure with your heart.
    • Shrimp - I like my shrimp to have tails on, but you can use tail off as well.
    • Spices - Add any spices you like, but I add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Also, dried thyme and oregano would be great additions.
    • Ramen Noodles - I order my ramen noodles without the flavor packets, but you can use the packages sold at the store as well. Simply remove the flavor packet and you're good to go.
    • Fresh Herbs - I like to add fresh oregano on top, but fresh basil or parsley will work as well!

How to make Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

To a sauté pan, add the butter over medium heat. Let the butter melt and come to a bubble. Once the bubbling subsides lower the heat to low.

To the browned butter, add minced garlic. I like to use my garlic plate to mince the garlic. Saute for about 1 minute.

Increase your heat to medium, and add the shrimp and spices. Cook, stirring often, until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through.

Cook your ramen noodles according to package directions (don't forget to eliminate the spice package!)

Add the cooked ramen noodles to your garlic butter sauce, and toss to coat evenly.

Serve with a garnish of fresh herbs. You can also add more salt and spices to taste.

    FAQ's

    How do I brown butter?

The trick to browning butter is to heat the butter over medium heat until the butter begins to bubble. Do not lower or remove the pan from from the heat until the bubbling stops. You'll be left with an amber colored, nutty smelling butter. Add browned butter to your other pasta recipes or baking recipes to elevate them!

Do I need to peel and devein my shrimp?

Honestly, it's up to you. But if you're looking for convenience, you'll want to get peeled and deveined. Also, if you have time, and want to save a few more dollars, get the whole shrimp and peel and devein at home.

I like the tail-on option. These shrimp are cleaned and deveined but can be added as-is to your dish and you can remove the tails as you dine. It's a great compromise of convenience and cost.

Do I need to use fresh shrimp?

I prefer to buy fresh shrimp when it's on sale, but you can also use frozen shrimp for this dish! You'll just need to cook it for a few extra minutes.

Really good. Didn’t add the liquid off of the Ramen noodles because of salt and chicken broth. Added fresh spinach.
