To create the mouthwatering Crockpot Chocolate Lava Cake, begin by coating the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, milk, vegetable oil, and eggs, using a handheld or stand mixer to achieve a smooth consistency. Pour the cake batter evenly into the slow cooker's base.
In a separate medium bowl, follow the instructions on the chocolate pudding mix, mixing it with milk to create a velvety pudding mixture. Carefully pour the pudding mixture over the cake batter, allowing the layers to meld together.
For an extra layer of decadence, microwave the chocolate frosting for 10-15 seconds until it's easily pourable, then evenly drizzle it over the pudding layer. Sprinkle a generous handful of milk chocolate chips on top, infusing the dessert with bursts of rich chocolate flavor.
Place the slow cooker's lid securely and choose your cooking method. Cook on high for 3 to 3 ยฝ hours (Check at about 2 hours to make sure it's not burned,) or opt for a low and slow approach (recommended,) cooking for 4 to 5 hours (check at 3 hours to make sure it's not burning.) Test the cake's readiness by inserting a knife into the cake layer; it should come out clean, without reaching the pudding layer beneath. Once done, serve the chocolate lava cake while it's still warm, allowing the flavors to meld perfectly. For an irresistible finishing touch, scoop a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top, complementing the rich chocolate with a creamy contrast. This delectable dessert promises layers of satisfaction, each bite delivering a harmonious blend of textures and flavors.

Tips
- Prepare the Slow Cooker: Make sure to generously coat the interior of the slow cooker with cooking spray to prevent sticking and ease the cake's removal after cooking.
- Layering Order: Follow the layering sequence carefully: cake batter, pudding mixture, chocolate frosting, and chocolate chips. This order ensures a balanced distribution of flavors and textures.

I tried this recipe on High and checked after 3 hours to see if it was done and the entire thing was burnt. May have been better to check after 2 hours on high as I believe 3 to 3.5 hours was too much time on high for this recipe. The burnt taste was overpowering so unfortunately I ended up having to throw it away. ๐
