Champagne Vinegar, Mint, & Melon Fruit Salad
I absolutely love this fruit salad! The champagne vinegar syrup really gives this fruit salad a little something extra. Every time I bring this to a barbecue people are always asking...."what is that unique, delicious flavor?" I wanted to highlight the in-season melons and added them with the sweet and tangy topping with some fresh mint to the salad. I highly recommend adding champagne vinegar to your pantry so you always have it on hand to go with some fresh, in-season fruit!

Ingredients
- ยผ Cup Champagne Vinegar
- ยผ Cup Sugar
- ยฝ Cantaloupe peeled, seeded, and diced into 1" pieces
- ยฝ Honeydew peeled, seeded, and diced into 1" pieces
- ยผ Cup Fresh Mint Leaves roughly Chopped
- Finishing Salt
Instructions
- Combine the Vinegar and Sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring often to dissolve the Sugar. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
- Put the cut Cantaloupe and Honeydew in a bowl and toss with the Mint. Drizzle with the sweetened Vinegar and toss lightly. Pile the Melon on a platter and sprinkle with the Finishing Salt.
