Italian Baked Figs

This Italian Baked Fig Recipe is the perfect way to use a surplus of figs. It's great served with cheese, in a salad, or as a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 15 Ripe Figs tops trimmed, cut in half
  • 4 Tablespoons Madiera can also use port or sherry
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon Lavender

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • In a pie, tart, or cast iron pan, overlap the fig halves in a spiral shape. (See video.)
  • Pour the Madiera and Honey over the figs. Optional, sprinkle with Lavender.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or cold with cheese and bread.
