Green goddess dressing was created in the 1920s at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco as a tribute to the hit play "The Green Goddess." It was originally made with mayonnaise, sour cream, anchovies, tarragon, vinegar, green onions, garlic, parsley, chives, and anchovy paste. The dressing gained popularity throughout the United States and has since evolved with various interpretations featuring fresh herbs and additional ingredients.
This was inspired by my Grinder Sauce, and pairs well with my Italian Sandwich.
